Welcome to Young Miss Cherokee County Pageants! We are a part of the Miss Cherokee County Scholarship Organization, and proceeds form our pageants are used to fund the scholarships that are given through the Miss Cherokee County Scholarship Pageant.

We have two Annual Young Miss Style pageants a year: The Young Miss Cherokee County held in the Spring, and the Miss Cherokee Fair Pageant, held in the September.

We are very proud to produce these annual pageants, crowning many beautiful little girls and young women, and at the same time providing them with a year of fun activities, community service, and mentoring opportunies. We are a part of the Miss Cherokee Scholarship Organization, which is a preliminary pageant to the Miss Georgia pageant, which ofcourse is a preliminary to the Miss America pageant. The crowns that the Miss America winners wear have four points, each one representing: scholarship, success, style, and service. We believe it is never too early to involve our Young Miss Queens in these areas as they are very positive attributes to have. Hopefully, after having been involved in our Young Miss program, one of our queens might want to be Miss Cherokee County one day, or atleast continue within the Miss America preliminary system.

In keeping with the Miss America system, these title holders have to have a community service related platform. Our Young Miss queens are very active in our community making several community service appearances and volunteering at Relay for Life Cherokee, Special Olympics, March of Dimes, Cherokee Senior Olympics, and more. Our Young Miss queens leave our system with a sense of accomplishment, feeling as though they have truly given back during their time with the Miss Cherokee family. They learn valuable leadership skills as well, having had several opportunuties for public speaking. We are very proud of our Young Miss queens, and will contiunue to support them in every way towards reaching their goal of serving our community.

We are a natural pageant system, and very much prefer that "girl on her best day" look. No make up is allowed on girls age nine and under, very light make up for age 10-11, and very age appropriate make up for age 12 and Up. Hair should always be natural and move freely, complimenting the child, and the dress. Dresses need to be fancy, but not overly done, we discourage "glitz" style pageantry, as it is simply not our style. Any other style dress is welcome, the dress must fit well, and compliment the child.

No modeling is required to compete in our pageants.
